Growing Memories is a circle-based educational program that supports children's emotional literacy, bereavement awareness, self-regulation, and social-emotional learning through story, music, movement, nature, and creative expression.
Designed for children ages 5–8, each chapter invites children to listen, reflect, connect, and discover together that all feelings belong, every voice matters, and memories can continue to connect us.
Perfect for:
✓ Kindergarten–Grade 3 (Ages 5–8)
✓ Schools
✓ School Mental Health Teams
✓ Child & Youth Counsellors
✓ Bereavement Organizations
✓ Families
A Gentle, Predictable Learning Experience
Each chapter follows this same rhythm, creating a familiar and supportive structure that helps children feel safe to explore emotions, ask questions, develop empathy, and build meaningful connections.
Whether used as a stand-alone lesson or as part of the complete nine-chapter journey, this consistent approach allows educators to foster emotional literacy, bereavement awareness, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging through story, music, nature, and creative expression.
Growing Memories Audiostory Resources
All nine chapters of the Growing Memories digital storybook, musical audiostory, educator,
and classroom resources will be available in September 2026.
Each chapter includes a professionally produced musical audiostory, educator discussion prompts, circle-based learning experiences, and eco-literacy activities.
Throughout the 9-chapter journey, children are guided through original Circle Songs and a Nature Connection Song that are woven into the storyline and circle learning experience. Through the changing seasons, nature becomes a gentle metaphor for the cycles of life — growth, change, loss, remembrance, and renewal.
The music, storytelling, mindful body-breath regulation and nature connection elements work together to support children's social emotional literacy, grief awareness, reflection, and understanding that love, loss and resilience continue through life's many seasons.
Chapters may be experienced individually as stand-alone resources or together
as a complete 9-chapter, 10-week Growing Memories journey.
